AT CLIMATE SHIELD - UGANDA (CSU)

Climate Shield Uganda is a community organization base in Ibanda. We focuses on environmental conservation and climate change mitigation in Uganda. The organization is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices to reduce the impact of climate change.

Vision

To achieve enhanced sound climatic and environmental best practices that restore mother planet as the safest place to live on.

Mission

To promote positive mindset on natural resource management through community mobilization and education on climate awareness, resilience and adaptive actions in Agricultural production.

Climate Shield Uganda is guided by a dedicated board of members who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organization's mission of promoting positive mind-set on natural resource management through community mobilization and education on climate awareness, resilience and adaptive actions in Agricultural production. These board member include;

Director: Eustakio Mwongyera: As the Chief Executive Officer, Eustakio’s vision for the organization, combined with his operational oversight, fosters collaboration among team members and stakeholders, driving impactful initiatives that address climate change and promote sustainability

 

Possesses over 10years in programme management. Specific areas of expertise are in community mobilization for initiating and managing self – help development groups / projects knowledgeable in:- Starting and managing savings and credit associations Starting and managing human resource management groups and setting demonstration sites for practical learning. Conducting advocacy seminars and workshops for conducive environmental and climatic bylaws for mitigating effects of climate change in a participatory approach involving all stake holders. Conducting trainings for semi learned community on issues of managing natural resources in a harmonious co-existent manner. Managing organization public relations matters and linkages at all levels.

Mwongyera Eustakio Executive Director

A highly motivated Agripreneur with flexible approach to project methodologies such as scrum, Agile, Adoptive project Framework. Possesses more than 5 years’ work experience in project management, Agro-Business Incubation Management, research, sales and marketing and, More than two years of consultancy experience in farm technology and supplies, specializing in Agro-input and output market development. Recorded successful and impactful involvements in project such as; Capacity building of ZIGOTI coffee farmers, Mentorship and Agribusiness incubation Management under the Young Africana works project funded by GOAL Uganda and implemented by Excel-hort Consult Agribusiness incubator ltd, Farmers’ tractability project by Sultan meat packers-Nairobi.

My CPA certification further validates my expertise in the field, equipping me with advanced knowledge in auditing, taxation, and strategic financial planning. I am passionate about leveraging my skills to contribute to the success of an organization and am always eager to take on new challenges in the finance sector.
